A social initiative of select corporate in Maharashtra supported in the form of financial assistance for the state of the art machinery for our project, under their CSR activities.

Some have contributed in the form, of kind by donation, blood donation van, machineries for the evaluation, processing and treatment. Some corporate have supported us in the form of dedicated voluntary blood donors.

CSR Activities

How a corporate can help Arpan Thalassemia Society (Through CSR Activities)

A. Financial support for one or more of the following:

NAT testing & Leucodepletion of blood units.

Iron chelation drugs.

Administrative expenses.

Periodic Medical assessment of the children.

Antibody screening.

Prevention programs.

Equipment donation.

Blood donation van.

B. Regular voluntary Blood Donation camps at 15 to 30 days frequency:

Dedicated voluntary blood donors for each patient to facilitate limited donor exposure and thus reduce blood transfusion reactions & atypical antibody formation – a key struggle for any Thalassemia kid.

Our Achievements

277 registered Thalassemia patients (Nasik + Mulund).

0% Positivity rate for HIV, HBV, HCV in Thalassemia patients.

Negligible febrile reactions rate (0.5%) in Thalassemia patients.

Preventation of some births of Thalassemia major.

100 % NAT tested & Leukoreduced Blood supply.

52000 Individuals Screening of Thalassemia minor patients.

More than 28559 Blood units supplied to Thalassemia Major Patients free of cost.

Compliance under section 135 of the Act i.e. Corporate Social Responsibility, is applicable from which Financial Year?
The compliance of the provisions of CSR under the Companies Act, 2013 i.e. constitution of CSR Committee, formulation of CSR Policy, the spending of requisite amount on CSR activities came into force from April, 2014.
Does the NGO comply with government regulations for CSR activity?
yes, Arpan Thalassemia Society complies with all the regulations. To meet the patron requirements, we can provide donation receipt, PAN card details, 80 G , 12A, CSR certificates as needed.
Can the trust accept international donations?
yes, we are registered under FCRA (Foreign contribution regulation Act) and are eligible for international donations. 4– Can a business contribute in kind? Ans: Yes. We accept donations in the form of equipment required for donation or in the form of services offered to Thalassemia patients.
